The Luke Family, by Stephanie Neal Photography- Great Salt Lake Supermoon

Great Salt Lake Supermoon

Great Salt Lake Supermoon

This was one of those sessions that just all comes together with a certain amount of planning, and a lot of luck + magic thrown in! I photographed this beautiful family last year at their new home in Park City, and they wanted to mix it up and go for a “different” look this year. After doing some location scouting we settled on a beautiful spot at the Great Salt Lake. If you’re from the area, you probably know the lake is gorgeous at sunset, but also very “pungent” in the winter!! It took a good 45 minutes to adjust to the smell, but it was well worth it to get these amazing images. The inversion (pollution) in the air actually helps create jaw-dropping sunsets. As we were getting ready to leave, we were all surprised to see the biggest, most beautiful moon start to rise over the mountains and reflect off of the lake. It just happened to be the night of the “supermoon,” and helped make this session one I will never forget.

Vintage Cars & Family Fun, by Stephanie Neal Photography, Park City, Utah

This session was way too fun! Combine vintage cars, a gorgeous extended family, and the jaw-dropping scenery of Deer Valley, and this is what you get :) I don’t know if I’ve laughed this hard at a shoot before.

This beautiful little family traveled all the way from Minnesota for their session. We had a last minute spring snow storm the night before, which made everything more fun and scenic!

Violet, 1 year portrait session by Stephanie Neal Photography

Stephanie Neal Photography, Park City Utah Family Child Baby PhotographerThis was my second session with this little family. The first was a maternity session just before Violet was born. They all have such strikingly beautiful eyes…they just jump out at you and make for the most amazing portraits. I love to see the transition from nervous parents-to-be, to capable hands on mom and dad.

We did these in early December, right before we got massive amounts of snow. Their house has the most spectacular view of Park City and Deer Valley, and what better way to enjoy it than from the trampoline!!

Liberty & Matilda, by Stephanie Neal Photography, Park City Utah

Stephanie Neal Photography, Park City Utah Family Portrait Studio PhotographerThis is the 3rd summer that I’ve photographed these beautiful sisters. Each session just gets better and better. Their mom is collecting the prints from each year and is going to make them into a book to give each girl when she’s grown. I love when other parents are as passionate about documenting childhoods as I am!!

Madison, Park City Utah Senior Portraits by Stephanie Neal Photography

I first photographed Madison when she was 13 years old. She wasn’t completely comfortable, but had glimmers of that certain “something” that helps make a good photograph great. Fast forward 4 years and she’s a stunningly beautiful high school senior that was a complete natural in front of the camera.Stephanie Neal Photography Senior Portrait Photographer, Park City, Utah
